Interdisciplinary Research and Collaborative Partnerships

Guided by Research Next, the strategic plan for the Georgia Tech research enterprise, new partnerships were established, and research collaborations increased.

With 10 interdisciplinary research institutes (IRIs) and hundreds of research centers across the Institute, many of Georgia Tech's faculty are engaged in interdisciplinary research that tackles national and international challenges related to clean energy, public health, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and others.

Making a Difference

In 2023, Enterprise Innovation Institute programs worked with 50,949 clients to create or save 47,238 jobs. All of this contributed to the $4.5 billion in economic impact on the state of Georgia in fiscal year 2023.

The community of Georgia Tech extends beyond our campus into K-12 classrooms, Atlanta neighborhoods, and partner institutions as we work to strengthen our pipeline of science and technology talent for the state of Georgia.
